Travelling to Porto

Porto is the second largest city in Portugal after Lisbon and one of the major urban areas of the Iberian Peninsula.
It is the city that gave the name to Portugal – from very early (c. 200 a.C.), when it was called Portus Cale, later to become the capital of the Portucalense County, from where Portugal was formed.
It is also a city known worldwide for its wine, its bridges, contemporary and classic architecture, its historical center – classified as a World Heritage by UNESCO – for the quality of its gastronomy, its public university: the University of Porto, and for its main Football team, Futebol Clube do Porto.
It is very easy to travel to Porto, we have the internationally awarded Sá Carneiro Airport, where you will find the Metro with direct transport to the city center.
The Congress will take place at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, located in the Av. Rodrigues de Freitas, 265, 4049-021, right in middle of Porto downtown.
For accommodation, there are plenty of hotels or hostels for all tastes and budjets, right in the center of the city: a perfect location to visit Porto and its must-see attractions.
